FIDO's mission is two-fold:
- To help Clackamas County Dog Services with much-needed facility upgrades, new equipment and emergency veterinary care, and
- To achieve the goal of ensuring that all dogs in Clackamas County are spayed or neutered before being adopted from the Dog Services shelter.
FIDO's long-range goal is to transform the Clackamas County Dog Shelter into a fully funded non-profit program with new, larger facilities to better meet the needs of dog owners and dogs in Clackamas County.
Since its founding in 2004, FIDO, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, has rapidly gained awareness and respect in the community.
- A professional dog-washing facility
- A professional, veterinary-style weighing scale for dogs of all sizes
- A dog playground/exercise yard/people-dog meeting area
Watch for the new FIDO-Mobile when you're out and about in the Portland metropolitan area!
