FIDO DAY 2006

What a wonderful time we had on Saturday, June 3!! There were dogs, dogs everywhere and about nearly 2,000 people joining in the Walk for the Dogs, talking with vendors, playing games and just having fun. If you missed us this year, please watch for the 2007 FIDO Day - June 2, 2007 -- and make plans to attend what is destined to become Clackamas County's premier annual dog event.
As you may know, we are big advocates of microchipping - and FIDO Day was a smashing success in the microchipping category. During the day, we implanted microchips in 115 dogs and cats, and our volunteer veterinarians gave 192 rabies vaccinations.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU and THANK YOU to all of our volunteers - without you we wouldn't have been able to pull it off.
A very special THANKS to our volunteer veterinarians who helped make the day such a success: Dr. Larry Sowa, County Commissioner; Dr. Doug Ferro, Barclay Hills Animal Clinic; Dr. Chuck Fammatre, Molalla Animal Clinic; Dr. Trisha Beal, Good Neighbor Veterinary Clinic, Dr. Lora Giesler, Barclay Hills Animal Clinic, and Dr. Melissa Schurr, Eagle Fern Vet Clinic. Without all of these dedicated veterinarians, none of this could have happened. If you are near one of their clinics - stop in and say thanks.
